The Oakley outerwear golf team continues to have some great results this spring, as Ryan Moore took home second place prize for $648,000 and secured himself playing privileges for next year on the PGA Tour at the Memorial this weekend.

The Memorial is known as “Jack’s Tournament” and takes place at Muirfield in Dublin, Ohio. The players honor Jack Nicklaus by playing this event every year, so you can imagine how star studded the field of players was this year. Stacking up this past weekend’s field of players were Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Vijay Sing, Phil Mickelson and many more putting in a charge for the title.

When you consider how amazing the field was this past weekend, it makes it that much sweeter to know Moore came in a very close second. Ryan started out a little slow on Sunday, but was hanging in the wings and made his move on the turn by birding 13, 14, 15, 16 ad 17! In the end it took some incredible scrambling by tournament winner, KJ Choi to make sure the two did not tie for a playoff hole.

In addition to Moore turning heads with his recent play on tour, his fashion statement in sporting Oakley apparel has started some talk as well. Ryan’s club sponsor Ping has taken a huge leap of faith and designed him a “painters” style ball cap to match his Oakley products. The result has Moore standing out on the camera with more than just his golf skills.
