Dumont Wins Back to Back Pipe

Simon Dumont did something no one in freeskiing history has ever done, he won back to back major Superpipe contests on back to back days in two different states.

On Saturday, Simon won the last stop of The Ski Tour in Squaw Valley, CA, bringing his total to three on the year out of the four stops. Then hopped on a plane to Salt Lake City and beat Tanner Hall at the World Superpipe Championsionships.

Now that is ambition!

The year had started out slow for Simon, after taking a close second at the Winter X Games and at a few other stops. Before capturing a win at the Nippon Open in Japan last month and stop three of The Ski Tour in Aspen, things started to take off. And since then Simon has been on a tear winning all the Superpipe Contests he enters. Proving that no one can touch his amplitude or technical bag of tricks, which include a 1260 that travels somewhere around twelve to fifteen feet out of the pipe.
