Oakley’s Freestyle Motocross Star Dany Torres emerged from behind in the overall standings to claim the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour Title on Saturday after a solid third-place finish at Cockatoo Island in Sydney, Australia. The hard-charging Spaniard was clipped by hometown Aussie rider Josh Sheehan in the semifinals in front of a raucous, sold out crowd of more than 11,000 screaming spectators. But his podium spot was enough to seal the deal, points-wise, for the 2011 Crown after charging into Sydney with a 40 point deficit behind Nate Adams.
No one throws down sick combinations in the air like Dany Torres. Oakley’s Spanish Freestyle Motocross Star showcased his trademark extension and killer combos at X Games 17, putting down enough in Staples Center to land a Bronze Medal.

Oakley’s Aussie Freestyle Motocross Star – coming off a dazzling victory in the event last year with a double back flip – took it one step further at X Games 17, throwing down a nac nac double flip for the Silver Medal. The first to ever bust out a double back combo, his feat racked up a massive 94.66 score. But it wasn’t quite enough, as he was edged out by fellow Aussie Jackson Strong, who landed the first-ever front flip in the contest’s history.
