Oakley’s Aussie Freestyle Motocross Star – coming off a dazzling victory in the event last year with a double back flip – took it one step further at X Games 17, throwing down a nac nac double flip for the Silver Medal. Dany Torres must love those Tapas (traditional mini dishes). Oakley’s Spanish FMX star took advantage of that home cooking to emerge victorious at Red Bull X-Fighters Madrid in late July, racking up a perfect five-out-of-five vote before 25,000 raucous home fans in the country’s largest bullfighting arena, Plaza de Toros. “It’s the best day of my life,” Dany said, rocking his Oakley motocross goggles. The talented Spaniard threw down a variation of a super can Indian air flip, Hart Attack Indian air flip, and a dead body flip – as well a surprise secret trick that proved enough to seal the deal: A McMetz to cliffhanger.
