Dany Torres Wins Fourth Consecutive Freestyle.ch
Dany Torres has Freestyle.ch FMX on lock. Heading into the 2012 event in Zurich, he was the reigning three-time winner, and therefore wearing a bull-sized target on his back. Despite any added pressure or stakes, Torres did just as he’s done for years, flying higher and pulling smoother tricks than anyone else in the event. Flintstone flip, turn down, dead body indy flip and an execution flip. All pulled beautifully.
Dany Torres: four-time champ.
The setting couldn’t have been more perfect and inspiring, with nearly 30,000 spectators on hand and pure madness as four sports occurred, at times, simultaneously. As Torres put it, “Mountain Bikes jumping over Freestyle Riders, FMX riders jumping over the snowboarders and skiers … just awesome.”
In related Oakley news, team riders swept the podium in Freeski Big Air at Freestyle.ch, with Henrik Harlaut finishing first.
This weekend Torres will be fighting for another title as the Red Bull X-Fighters series wraps up and the overall title remains on the line.
