Oakley Big Bass Tour: Kevin VanDam Classic Rolls Through Table Rock Lake, Missouri
The fourth stop on the Oakley Big Bass Tour saw some of the best amateur anglers in the country take to the water at the Kevin VanDam Classic this past weekend at Table Rock Lake, Missouri. Dubbed the signature event of the Oakley Big Bass Tour, the two-day open big bass tournament was packed with exciting fishing action. Anglers were competing for thousands of hourly cash payouts and of course the grand prize: a 2012 NITRO Z-8 bass boat w/ 200 HP Mercury OptiMax Pro XS motor and matching trailer valued at $35,000 for the overall largest big bass. Steven Porter topped the field with a 6.60lb bass to take home the championship and grand prize.

Reeling ‘Em In: Kevin VanDam Cans Record Fourth Bassmaster Classic Title, World Championship
Man, that’s a big fish…err fishes. Kevin VanDam’s three-day total of a massive 69 pounds, 11 ounces from this past weekend in New Orleans (Mississippi River Delta) is the heaviest ever taken to the scale in a Bassmaster Classic with a five-fish daily limit. That’s some major fishage. Major enough for Kevin to reel in yet another World Championship and a record-tying fourth Bassmaster Title.
