    Oakley’s Taylor Phinney and Jesse Sergent out-raced the biggest names in the sport during the fourth and third stage of the Tour of the Gila. Phinney won stage four with a powerful sprint at the end to take the Silver City Criterium. Sergent beat a world-class field in stage three, the 26.6 kilometer time trial.

    The 2009 USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships concluded at the Home Depot Center velodrome on Sunday. Oakley athletes dominated the podium, especially Oakley’s Taylor Phinney who won three of the 10 titles earned. Boulder cyclist Taylor Phinney added to his list of national titles, winning the 30-kilometer points race at the USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships on Saturday.

    A day after setting a new American record and winning gold in the individual 4 kilometer pursuit, Taylor Phinney set another American record on his way to winning the 1K time trial cycling’s Track World Cup finals on Friday.
