A perennial French hope for a high placement in the Tour de France, Moreau has delivered excellent results in his career. In 2003 and 2004, he was the highest placed French finisher. A good time-trialist and a competent climber, Moreau generally had the lowest times in his team, Crédit Agricole.
Moreau is known as "Le Chien” (French for “dog”), as he always has his tongue out when under pressure.
