Finally: Andy Schleck Arrives With Stage 18 Tour de France Victory, Powers to Second Overall
The 2009/2010 runner up has officially arrived. Oakley Star Cyclist Andy Schleck of Leopard Trek – edged out last year by defending Champ Alberto Contador for the Yellow Jersey – finally clinched a stage victory (18) after steadily stepping up over the course of the race. The 26-year-old phenom stepped up the attack in stunning fashion to triumph atop the Col du Galibier. Reminiscent of past battles with his primary rival, Andy broke clear with a charge on the Col d’Izoard – leaving Contador flailing in the peloton.

Oakley Team Athletes Dazzle at the 2010 Tour de France
The coveted yellow jersey may have alluded the Big O in the final standing this year…but make no mistake, Oakley athletes were absolutely brilliant in the battle for Tour de France victory. Team riders dotted the French landscape and stage winner podiums all throughout the heated contest: 12 stage victories. Athletes wearing the yellow jersey. And a handful of O riders proudly finishing in the top 10. Few teams at the competition enjoyed the immense athleticism and state-of-the-art equipment that characterizes Oakley’s presence at the Tour. Just the way we like it.
