Dutch Stunner: O’s Keiichiro Nagashima Powers Past O’s Joki Kato to Take Men’s 500m Title at Speed Skating World Cup

Oakley speed demon Joji Kato (Split Jacket) charged into the 500m Heerenveen finals as the clear favorite at the Speed Skating World Cup in the Netherlands this past weekend.

But fellow Oakley speed skater Keiichiro Nagashima (Radar Path) had something else in mind. Despite Kato’s domination of the season opening meet last Friday with a 34.85 second finish (the Olympic Bronze Medalist’s eighth career title), the 500m race on Sunday saw Nagashima power past his countryman for a 34.97 second finish for the victory.

The World Cup final will be held in Heerenveen in March following six meets at various locations, including Moscow and Salt Lake City.

Keep an eye out for Oakley’s Nagashima and Joki as they charge toward victory at the World Cup.
