The fifth stop of the Corona Light Wide Open proved to be one of the best stops yet: Santa Cruz, CA. The surf, the sand, and the atmosphere were nothing short of amazing, while Oakley boy’s Ty Loomis and Casey Patterson held it down on the volleyball court. Not only could they be found dominating the local talent on the sand, but also up on the runway sporting Oakley’s newest swag in the Bump, Set, Strike A Pose Fashion Show. Joining the duo on stage were Oakley’s Matt Olson and beach volleyball legend, Karch Kiraly.

The crowd was rowdier than ever and roaring of cheers… but for what? The sexy models decked out in Oakley gear? Possibly. The free Oakley prizes and give away’s? Maybe. The four steaming Oakley boys about to hit the stage in nothing but a 2010 Oakley Summer swim trunk?! Absolutely!

The crowd was the ultimate factor in deciding the winner, basing their criteria on the most fierce runway walk, the sexiest “strike a pose”, and the best use of Oakley shades. The boys pulled out all the stops in hope to grab the crowd’s eye with a special move, some of which they wish they could forget about! However, the competition was not even close after Karch dominated the stage, distinguishing himself as the clear leader amongst the group- scoring himself $500 worth of Oakley gear and bragging rights amongst the other players.

The games continued on all Saturday after the Oakley Bump, Set, Strike A Pose Fashion Show and went well into the day on Sunday. However, Oakley and Corona Light paired together yet again to host a Players Party Saturday night to keep spirits high and to celebrate players of all levels. DJ Shares was dropping the beats, the beer was flowing, and everyone was having a great time. Look out Chicago, you better bring you’re A-game if you want to live up to Santa Cruz… “BOOM!”
