Oakley MLB Tour Hits Nationals Facility
The Oakley MLB Spring Training Tour started cranking at the end of February at the NY Mets facility to rave reviews. Everyone from superstar pitcher Johan Santana to owner of the Mets wanted to hang out with the Rolling O Lab crew. Things continued rolling in Viera, FL at the Washington Nationals facility against those same NY Mets.
With the Rolling O Lab parked right out front the Nationals stadium, the crowd of 4,000 fans were immediately hit with Oakley’s presence on Oakley Day at the stadium. Five fans were randomly selected to win a pair of Oakley MLB Nationals Eyewear throughout the game and escorted by the Nats Girls to the Rolling O Lab. Once the winners entered the O Lab they received a VIP educational tour and given there Nationals MLB eyewear.
Additionally, the Rolling O Lab crew and local Oakley rep Javier threw out the first pitch of the game to five Nationals players wearing the National MLB eyewear. Before the game Oakley’s Baseball Sports Marketing Manager Garry Gant hooked up with key Nationals ballplayers – veteran 2nd Baseman Ronnie Belliard, All-Star Shortstop Cristian Guzman, fan favorite 3rd Baseman Ryan Zimmerman and emerging star Outfielder Lastings Milledge. Each player was given a pair of the Nationals MLB eyewear and some lifestyle pieces to rock as well. Gant also connected with old friends Bob Boone and three-time World Series Champion Devon White, now both coaches for the Washington Nationals.
The game kicked off properly with the Nationals scoring three runs on five hits in the first inning, and followed that up with another three runs and five hits in the sixth inning. It was great to see the starting 2nd Baseman, Shortstop and 3rd Baseman wearing the Nationals MLB eyewear the whole nine innings, as the Nationals beat the Mets 6-4.
Look for more coverage the rest of the week as the Rolling O Lab and Garry Gant head to George M. Steinbrenner Field for a three game set with the 26 Time World Series Champion New York Yankees.
