Stale Sandbech Named Norwegian Snowboarder of the Year

In a country like Norway, where the quality of snowboarders runs deep, to be recognized as the best in the bunch means something. You’re doing something right. You’re on the right path. Not that we thought any differently about Stale Sandbech, but by being named Norwegian Snowboarder of the Year, it’s clear that State is killing it.

“This was really big for me!” Stale said. “All the other guys nominated were riders I really respect and I am really proud to be named among them.”

With guys like Torstein Horgmo and Mikkel Bang and Gjermund Bråten also nominated, for Stale, who’s just 19 years old, to get the nod … big damn deal! Congrats, bud!

Here’s a clip to get a sense for just how much Stale is blowing up these days.
