Oakley Surf & Eric Geiselman Reunite

Eric Geiselman

Oakley is stoked to reunite with surfer Eric Geiselman. Eric, who has long been touted a future king-pin in the world of surfing has an extensive history with Oakley dating back to his grom days dominating the National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) events.

A transplant from New Smyrna Beach Florida where Eric and his brother Evan grew up surfing, Eric now lives and trains in San Clemente, California.

“We have always been impressed with Eric,” said Pat McIlvain, Oakley VP Global Sports Marketing. “He is a very talented surfer and what’s more, he embodies Oakley’s innovative spirit in and out of the water. There’s more to Eric than launching aerials and catching barrels, he’s also a musician, budding filmmaker and avid blogger. He’s exactly the type of ambassador the brand needs and we’re happy to have him back in the family.”

“Its awesome to be back with Oakley and everyone involved,” said Eric. “I’m looking forward to an epic 2012! Time to blow up!”

The two-time North American Pro Junior Champion has had his share of ups and downs including a close encounter with a shark during the O’Neil Cold Water Classic in Santa Cruz a few years back and suffering a torn ligament one day before the 2011 US Open of Surfing.

Through it all Eric remains dedicated to pursuing his passion. “The way Eric approaches life is brilliant,” said Ronny Nelson, Oakley Surf Sports Marketing Manager. “He is always smiling and having a good time. We love to see that in our athletes. He brings a lot to the team not only with his surfing, but also with his great, upbeat personality.”

Look out for Eric and other talented surfers in the new series of webisodes Oakley Surf has launched this year.
