The progression continues. And as always, Oakley is at the forefront. O chargers Henrik Harlaut and Phil Casabon displayed it to the fullest in the latest episode of the B&E Show. The fifth edition, entitled “the Medicine,” has our two shredders romping through Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Utah and Colorado – unveiling urban tranny’s and spots that have been mostly untouched by the skiing world to express their creativity. With the possibility of free skiing at the Olympics looming, the crew sees this as a “movement, inspired, as a cure to skiing’s future in it’s purest form…that may change a lot of the perception and clientele that will be brought upon the sport.”
The “One Life Crew” is set to hit you upside the head every Wednesday. Snowboarder Magazine’s formidable collection of beautiful rippers, lead by Oakley’s own Chanelle Sladics and friends, will be delivering webisodes every other week – called “One Life Wednesdays.” And you’ll be able to watch them right here on Oakley.com. The lively videos will bring you right into the “One Life” World: Competitions, film trips, the girls teaching people to ride powder and diving into the local cultures of destinations they shred. What’s more, the green-aware crew is always looking to find ways to leave a positive environmental footprint on everywhere they visit…an idea that will find its way into every webisode. The first episode features the gals in Bariloche, Argentina…starring Chanelle, of course. Check it!
We’ve been raving about his masterful skills behind the lens. And you already see his work in the Fall 2011 Oakley Apparel Catalog. Well Blake Jorgenson was on the road again – with the Big O – capturing some of the sickest images of our riders as they ripped for an Oakley documentary on our very own Seth Morrison in Retallack, BC. His first shoot of the year had him romping around with Seth and Sean Pettit filming for “Seth Morrison – The Ordinary Skier,” coming out next fall. And as always, there were some amazing shots. But don’t take our word for it. Check out his blog for commentary from his own mouth/pen, amazing images and a killer video.
