Just two years later he won his first Winter X Games Gold Medal and has remained one of the most fierce and talented competitors the sport has seen.     Simon Dumont is literally making U.S. Olympic Team history. On the heels of a landmark decision by the International Olympic Committee to include the sport of Halfpipe Skiing to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, Oakley’s Freeski Star and X Games Gold Medalist has officially been invited to train as a member of the first-ever U.S. Freeskiing Pro Halfpipe Team. But his involvement in the sport’s breakthrough isn’t limited to throwing down in the pipe. Simon was instrumental in the development of the newly created U.S. Freeskiing Brand.
