Oakley athletes were on full display throughout the three days of Winter X Tignes 2012, collecting four coveted medals. Combine those with the 20 medals secured at the Winter X 16 in January; Oakley athletes were able to claim 24 total Winter X medals in 2012.
Two days, two gold medals; no big deal. Business as usual for Oakley snowboard star Shaun White as he secured his second Winter X Games Tignes gold medal in two days. A day after completely dominating the Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe event in France, Shaun completed the back-to-back gold medal performance, taking the top spot in the Slopestyle event for the first time since 2009.

Welcome to France! Oakley snowboard icon Shaun White dominated the Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe in his first visit to the Winter X Games Tignes. It didn’t take long to for Shaun to secure the gold medal, scoring a 98 in his first run; a super smooth run that included a switch cab double cork, a double McTwist 1260 and an alleyoop rodeo to close it out. His near perfect score set the tone for the day and none of the competitors came close to challenging Shaun’s position on the leaderboard.
