Bio
Amber Wing is one – if not the – best female Wakeboarder that this sport has ever seen. And she’s not heralded simply for her talent and deep pool of tricks: she also has the brains, the will, and the determination to succeed in this business.
It may surprise many people to know that Amber came late to wakeboarding. At one point in her life, she was training as a gymnast to compete in the Olympics. A series of fortuitous events brought her to wakeboarding, and in the time since, she’s turned the sport on its head. She’s shattered any previously conceived performance barriers for women, landing the first toeside and heelside 720s, the first 900 and the very first double flip – a trick some of the men haven’t yet mastered.
Amber grew up riding with the boys in Australia and now spends her year chasing summer all around the world from her home in Sydney to her second home in Clermont, Fla.
