Day 2 of Oakley Week On FUEL TV: Danny Kass, Chanelle Sladics and Gretchen Bleiler

Check out the behind scenes footage of Day 2 on-set with Oakley and FUEL TV.

The Oakley Safehouse woke to see standouts Eero Ettala, Kristi Leskinen, Chanelle Sladics and Jake Blauvelt talking about Oakley Pro Rider Series apparel, filming with FUEL TV and upcoming contests on RSN’s Summit Sunrise. The show is the most watched spot that airs in the morning time slot creating a nice buzz around town.

In addition to the RSN coverage, the Oakley Rolling O Lab and FUEL TV set were featured on the front page of the Summit Daily and home page. Big ups to Tess Weaver, Oakley Sports Marketing Media for dialing in all the coverage that spotlighted Oakley athletes being great ambassadors for the brand.

While on-set segments were being shoot this week, Oakley and FUEL TV were filming around town and at Copper Mountain and Breckenridge Resort. Offset segments on Wednesday highlighted Marie-France Roy shredding Breckenridge Resort, and Eero Ettala sessioning the rail park with young ripper Cody Warble.

Wednesday’s on-set filming featured two Oakley heavy hitters in Danny Kass and Gretchen Bleiler, as well as a special appearance from Winter X Games bronze medalist, Chanelle Sladics.

The setting was much warmer then the previous day, but did share its cloudy skies. Comcast awarded five VIPs to visit and experience the filming of The Daily Habit in Breckenridge. FUEL TV debuted in the greater Summit County area this October on Comcast channel 409. So this was a great way for the local viewers to come by and watch a FUEL TV show filmed in their town.

A few friends in the snow media realm stopped by to post up in the VIP Lounge, including our good friend Tawnya from Snowboard Magazine. Filming started at 1pm with Danny Kass just getting in the evening before from Portland, OR and riding the Copper Mountain Superpipe. Danny and Pat Parnell had a great time discussing Thermonuclear Protection, Grenade as well as his new show on FUEL TV, “Danny and The Dingo”.

Chanelle Sladics jumped on stage to rap out about all things awesome, including her role on the O-Matic Snowboard Team and Oakley’s first all women’s team video – “Uniquely”.

At 3pm Gretchen Bleiler arrived fresh off shredding the US Grand Prix Superpipe at Copper Mountain. Bleiler explained to Pat and the local crowd why 2008 had been such a great year for her outside of contests, specifically traveling more for backcountry trips to Russia, Japan as well as her inaugural signature contest “Snow Angels” in Aspen for the Uniquely video. The day rapped with the sun creating a halo effect around Gretchen’s head and Parnell cracking some funny promo segments (check the teaser).

The Kass episode will air in the debut spot of Monday, January 12th, 2008 for Oakley Week on The Daily Habit with GB being the closer to the week on Friday, January 16th, 2008.
