Oakley’s Adriano De Souza and Mason Ho give strong finishes at ASP World Junior Championships by finishing on the podium.

The ASP World Junior Championships are held in Sydney, Australia every year bringing together a melting pot of the world’s best junior surfers of today under 20 years of age.

Adriano De Souza looked to win another title from his previous victory in 2003, but missed the mark by just over a point in the last minutes of the Final finishing a respectable second. 18 year old Mason Ho on the other hand would be the contest’s dark horse. Mason powered his way to a third place finish with radical surfing that included consistent big airs and blow tail off the top turns.

Men’s Final results:

  1. Jordy Smith (ZAF) 13.84
  2. Adriano de Souza (BRA) 12.83
  3. Matt Wilkinson (AUS) 10.50
  4. Mason Ho (HAW) 4.20
