    No one’s ever seen anything like it. Last weekend, a secret, mysterious photoshoot was rumored by those in the industry to have went down at Squaw Valley…one unlike any other in history. And they were right. Enter Oakley Freeski star Simon Dumont. The brainchild of O’s Ripper, the ‘Cubed Pipe’ at Squaw was six years in the making. Built through the talents of Oakley-sponsored Snowpark Technologies, and supported by Red Bull. Simon’s dream finally came into fruition. With a whole lot of planning – and a little bit of luck, that is. Simon threw down for the buzz-surrounded shoot – and some sick images were the obvious result.

    The O just keeps on rollin’. This time, in the land of peaches. Hordes of Wake fans packed the shores of Lake Allatoona at Dallas Landing Park today to catch the final rounds of action at the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour stop in Acworth, Ga. On the heels of a season-opening victory at Wakegames, Oakley’s young star Harley Clifford dominated the Pro Men’s field – while O’s young Japanese up and comer Shota Tezuka grabbed the victory in the Jr. Pro Men Division. The final day in Acworth saw the field of 20 riders narrow down to six for the last round of action. But none were any match for O’s Aussie phenom.

    Brazil is probably on fire right about now. If the coming World Cup (soccer) – set to hit the vibrant nation – isn’t enough reason to party, surely Adriano de Souza’s huge victory at the Billabong Rio Pro today will get things rockin’ quick. Oakley’s Brazilian Surf Team Ripper smashed his way to a home turf victory – topping Taj Burrow in two-to-four foot waves at Barra da Tijuca. The triumph rockets him to the top of the ASP World Title points standings. With Round 5 action going into full effect, Adriano’s 15.63 point total toppled Burrow’s 12.17 after a super close, intense final – complete with a raucous, partisan Brazilian home crowd behind de Souza.

Oakley’s recovering Snowboard Star, who sustained major injuries during an accident in December 2009 while training for the Winter Olympics, appeared at Winter X at the bottom of the Pipe – stoking cheers from the inspired snow fans in the crowd.

As always, beautiful shreddage and a peek at life as a female pro snowboarder. The collection of beauties hit the final event of the season at Mammoth Lakes, Calif., the Roxy Chicken Jam. Due to heavy snowfall and an airport closing, the crew decided to make it a full on road trip – followed up by some rippage and some fun at night with Kellen Malloy (singer/songwriter/DJ) and more.

    David Rosenbarger has charged some of the most epic ski mountaineering spots on Earth. But he’s hungry for more. Together with Giulia Monego and veteran ski photographer/mountaineer Christian Pondella, Oakley’s formidable skier will embark on a three week ski mountaineering trip in the Bolivian Andes. The three friends, who met each other while mountaineering Chamonix Mt Blanc. tracking fresh snow down the North face of the Aiguille du Midi and other beautiful lines in the surroundings, decided to get together for an extra-European trip and travel down to another classic mountaineering destination. The Andes in this section of the South American continent are incredibly shaped, leaving a skier’s imagination dreaming over some of their esthetic lines and steep snowy faces.

    How do you know Oakley’s poised for a monster season? Claiming bold victories in both the Men’s and Women’s Wakeboard contests at the Wake Games in Orlando is a pretty damn good sign. Oakley’s young phenom Harley Clifford, who hauled in a boatload of recognition and hardware last season, came out of the gates on fire this year as he grabbed a resounding win in the Men’s Pro Division following a solid first run in the finals – all in his new technologically advanced boardshorts, the Blade 2. Fellow Aussie and Oakley Team Rider Amber Wing snatched her own victory in the Women’s Pro Division to place the Big O atop the field.
