    It’s no secret. Oakley’s Wakeboard Team is the sickest collection of wake rippers on the Planet. Making history, yet again, to push the progression of the sport, two of the team’s stars threw down one of the most epic expression sessions…ever…this past weekend at the Nautique Wake Games in Orlando – sticking a pair of back-to-back, wake-to-wake 1080’s in competition for the first time ever. Young phenom Harley Clifford and Canadian super rail master Oli Derome tantalized a packed crowd at the Orlando Watersports Complex as they crashed through the envelope with their massive aerial display.

    Oakley big mountain skier Andreas Fransson continues his world travels on a train from Chamonix to Marécottes backcoutry in Switzerland. He spends a night in a high elevation hut, has a good dinner and then continues his quest the next day. Heading out on foot and skis, Andreas fights the tough snow conditions and shows that ultimately smart decisions can turn a sour day into a safe and happy ending, stating “It was simply too dangerous to continue. It’s not the most fun thing to do, to turn around from a great ski. But no ski is worth dying for.”

With injuries, setbacks and other challenges now in the rear view mirror, Oakley’s Freestyle Motocross Star claimed his first Red Bull X-Fighters victory since 2010, stunning a packed crowd of more than 20,000 spectators on the sands of the world-renowned Jumeirah Beach in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Throwing down a turntable, complex combos like a backflip Hart attack one-hander, stylish and fully extended holy grabs, recliners and Superman airs in an intense head-to-head final matchup with Rob Adelberg, he emerged victorious in grand fashion.

    Mammoth Mountain thought it was ready for Oakley Week. But the famed snow destination was fully smacked upside the head during the O themed time period as Oakley team members, core shop guests, skiers, snowboard shredders and more dropped into Mammoth’s village area for its official celebration. And as always (when O throws the party), it raged. Rocking at the famed Hyde Lounge, the unique event marked the apex of what was an already vibrant, raucous week – displaying the new partnership between Oakley and Mammoth Mountain to the fullest. With functions that ran simultaneously throughout the Mountain, Lodge and Village, it was all culminated with the Hyde Lounge event that placed Oakley’s “30 Years of Dedication, Technology, Passion and Fun” on display for all to see. The decades of snow innovation literally hung from the ceilings and were illuminated in displays in a mass celebration of the brand’s heritage in snow sports.
