    Competing in front of a passionate crowd in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Bob Burnquist did what Bob Burnquist does in MegaRamp – he went big, was smooth in his execution and won another title. On Sunday, his winning run on the 65 was a switch backside 180 to Indy 540 – while launching nearly 21 feet into the air.

    “The heart of Bavaria has just been sold to a Frenchman!” A super hyped commentator at Red Bull X Fighters Munich summed up what was a stunning evening of Freestyle Motocross madness in the sprawling German city and capital of the famed region. Referring to Oakley’s own FMX star, Thomas Pages, the amped announcer had the privilege of calling the ultra heated contest that saw the French phenom knock off fellow Oakley star and defending series champion, Dany Torres in stunning fashion. ‘Flipping his bike 540 degrees in the air’ fashion, that is. “I had so many hot tricks to do tonight and felt the crowd pushing me on,” said Thomas, rocking his Oakley motocross goggles. “This was the scariest event I’ve ever done.”

    Mikkel Bang left no question that he deserved the hefty winner’s check at the first Burton ‘High Fives’ Slopestyle Jam in Wanaka, New Zealand. After a solid first run that placed him atop the standings, he pulled out all the big tricks on his second run (switch backside 1, front 270, back 5, switch back 12, front 10 double, and a backside rodeo 5 stale over the final hip jump) for a 95.40, sealing the win for the young Norwegian.

    When it comes to Wakeboarding, this is Harley Clifford’s house. Showing the Wake World just why he’s a legend in the making, Oakley’s young phenom underwent his second coronation in a row, claiming the King of Wake Title and the World Championship Title following a monster performance at the WWA Wakeboard Championships in Wisconsin. “I’m really excited about winning King of Wake for the second season in a row,” Harley said, rocking his Oakley eyewear, apparel and gear in Pleasant Prarie. “It has for sure been the craziest season ever. The riding was ridiculous, everyone killed it. I couldn’t be happier to come out on top!”

    In the sixth episode of the Oakley Dispatch webisode series, Adam Melling, Tom Whitaker, Sebastian Zietz and friends travel to the beautiful beachbreaks of Ballito, in Duban, South Africa for the first part of Oakley Dispatch South Africa. The boys make the most of Ballito beach-front living, scoring fun waves right in front of the unit – busting airs and tucking into a few barrels. When the surf’s flat, the crew head down the road to score some non-stop barrels and get a bit goofy at the Gateway Wave House.

    Though the Olympics commanded the attention of millions globally for the last two weeks, that didn’t slow down the Eric Koston Epicly Later’d Express. With the sixth episode up now on Vice’s website, we wrap up what has been an incredibly successful six-week run. As of two days ago, the series has racked up over two million total views globally, and has accumulated thousands of social media mentions, resulting in 3.5 million social media impressions – which makes Eric’s series the all-time record holder for Epicly Later’d views! That’s really saying something given the enormous popularity of the series.

With its typically massive crowd of fans lining the shoreline in sunny Southern California, the US Open of Surfing saw Oakley’s Julian Wilson claim an emphatic victory to close out a week-long war in the water at Huntington Beach Pier. Dispatching rival after rival with some of the highest scores throughout, the Australian ripper dazzled tens of thousands of spectators – eventually taking out Brazilian Miguel Pupo to claim his title in grand fashion.

    Surf City’s sets may have been at two-to-four feet. But Connor Coffin was positively massive at the US Open of Surfing Pro Junior. With a dominating performance throughout the contest – racking up a 17.10 out of 20 heat total to claim the biggest victory of his career at the ASP 4-Star event. “I can’t even put this in to words,” Connor said, rocking his Oakley eyewear. “I’m just so happy. I used to struggle out here and I’ve been working hard on that and I’m just glad that Final went my way.” But the path to victory was no walk in the park, of course. O’s young ripper clipped Kanoa Igarashi, Cooper Chapman and Filipe Toledo of Brazil to plow through to the Final.
