Dropping into the massively impressive Qiaobo Ice and Snow World (snow sports indoor facility) on the outskirts of the Chinese Capital on Nov. 29 – the tides of change amongst the new generation of more open-minded Chinese youth were clearly on display at the spirited contest.

Oakley loves its brooms. With yet another podium sweep, the O Women’s Snowboard Team dominated the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup Halfpipe Contest – lead by Spanish ripper Queralt Castellet, who claimed her second World Cup victory with a 87 point score to top fellow O Rider Sophie Rodriguez. The tiny charger threw down a frontside air to backside 540, frontside 540, backside air and frontside 720 – topped off with some major height and an ultra-clean run – to take out the field.

The pre-season is raging. And Team Oakley is warming up for another epic one. Ripper Jossi Wells displayed his form and intent this year by claiming an impressive victory at the unique London Freeze event in England – topping a field of 34 talented riders in the Superfinals. Engaging in head-to-head action for big money and major bragging rights, Jossi threw down a switch double 10 – racking up a massive 96 points…All enough to triumph over Oscar Scherlin and PK Hunder.
