In the very first Final at Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colo., 17-year-old Kai Mahler set the standard by which the rest of his Oakley teammates would be measured. In the inaugural Freeski Big Air event, the high-flying Swissman threw down the gauntlet with a switch double misty double japan grab for a 97.0 and the first Dew Cup win of the five-day event.

On a snowy weekend in Breckenridge, Colo., Dew Tour competition began with an Oakley athlete atop the podium and ended with the same. Over the course of the five-day gathering of the world’s best snowboarders and freeskiers, an Oakley athlete flipped and flew their way onto the podium in 8 of the 10 events.

The mass of people that created a standing-room only setting in the Oakley auditorium rose to their feet and cheered and shot more Instagram photos. Shaun White Day at Oakley Headquarters in mid-November elicited all sorts of excitement throughout the office over the course of the day. And why not? Adam Melling Powers Way to Victory at Sunset Beach, Re-qualifying for ASP World Tour; Seabass Extends Triple Crown Lead
Adam Melling has a knack for late-season dramatics. Just like last year, he arrived to Hawaii needing at least one huge result in one of the three stops in the Triple Crown of Surfing in order to remain on the prestigious – and lucrative – ASP World Tour. Taking notes from his Oakley teammate, Sebastian “Seabass” Zietz, who won the event at Haleiwa the week prior, Melling found his groove and improved with each heat on his way to winning the Vans World Cup of Surfing at Sunset Beach.

Oakley and Shaun White Celebrate Snowboarding in the Most Unlikely of Places
From the hustle and bustle of Beijing the Chinese countryside offers a stark contrast with fields that extend uninterrupted out to the horizon. It’s an hour-long bus ride from the city out to Huai Bei when suddenly, hidden in the otherwise brown hillside, appears the Haui Bei International Ski Resort. Complete with three chair lifts and a custom Oakley Snow Park, the resort is one of the oldest ski resorts in Beijing and host of the 2012 Oakley Rookie Challenge.

The one and only 6-star event of the World Snowboard Tour (WST) on the Asian continent, the Oakley and Shaun White present Air + Style Beijing, returns to China this Saturday, December 8, 2012. “It’s great to be back in China for the third year of Air + Style,” said Shaun White. “The riders put on an amazing show last year, and I’m guessing the level of snowboarding at this year’s event is going to be even crazier.”
