Oakley’s quintessential active sunglasses, Forsake™, reaches a new level of artistry in the Caia Koopman Signature Series, embodying the elegance, strength, and vulnerability of femininity. In this signature series version, original graphics by the California skate/surf/snow artist wrap around the sculpted toric shield. With her fine eye for beauty, inclinations toward nature, and collectiveness of the female spirit, Caia’s work is alluring with a hint of whimsy—a perfect representation of the Oakley Women’s brand.
Caia Koopman is a classically trained artist, having obtained her BA in Fine Arts from UC Santa Cruz. She applies her skills to her love of skateboarding and snowboarding and her work appears in galleries all over the world, as well as on board graphics, T-shirts and in magazines.
Caia says she was inspired to work with Oakley because “They share some qualities that are important to me such as encouraging a strong body and mind while wrapping things in art.” And in fact, our O Matter® frame is both beautiful and stress-resistant, with a comfortable Three-Point Fit that holds lenses in precise optical alignment. Patented hydrophilic Unobtainium® earsocks and nose pads further ensure a snug. Your wearable work of art comes with its own super fine Caia-designed microbag.
Our Signature Series Forsake™ lets you see the world with optimized peripheral view and side coverage of Polaric Ellipsoid™ lens geometry. And in typical Oakley fashion, optical precision and impact resistance meet or exceed Z87.1 optical and basic impact standards. You’ll feel as good as you look, knowing you are protecting your vision with UV Plutonite® lens material that filters out 100% of UVA / UVB / UVC and harmful blue light up to 400nm.
