T-Pain Hits Times Square
On the same day his third album dropped, Grammy award winning American hip hop artist, R&B singer-songwriter and producer, T-Pain rolled into Champ Sports at Times Square New York City to sign his new Oakley Poster and promote his signature sunglass. With every customer purchasing a signature T-Pain Oil Rig going to the front of the autograph signing line, Oakley sunglasses were flying out the door. Only 50 signature T-Pain sunglasses were available in store and by the end of the night none were left for the fans to purchase.
T-Pain’s third album Thr33 Ringz was released yesterday (on November 11, 2008), over a month after its initial release date of September 30, also his 23rd birthday. “Can’t Believe It” featuring Lil Wayne is the first single; which was playing on the all the flat screens at Champs Sports. Guest appearances on Thr33 Ringz include Busta Rhymes, Bow Wow, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, DJ Khaled, Ciara, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Kanye West and many more.
With a line going through the store, out the door, around the building and down 42nd Street, T-Pain signed close to 400 Oakley signature posters in just under an hour. Fans were crying, shouting, pointing, taking photos, getting in line twice and just plain losing it over T-Pain’s appearance in New York City.
Make sure to check T-Pain next in LA for a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live this Friday night.
