O Lab Visits Canada's Little California

After 2 days of injury free mtb shredding in Whistler’s mountain bike park, the O-Lab and crew set off east to its inaugural visit to Canada’s “little California”, Kelowna, BC.

It was Kelowna’s first sighting of Oakley’s R&D vehicle on wheels, and in a land of big trucks, the O-Lab’s Sport Chassis Freightliner trumped and intimidated all the competition.
Oakley Canada’s interior eyewear rep, Andrew Sharp, organized a dealer day, where floor staff and managers alike took tours, and learned about Oakley High Definition Optics®. Despite uncommonly wet conditions, the lab was in full swing, with shout out’s all day on the radio. A truck off competition was even mentioned, where locals where challenged to show up with a bigger truck then the Sport Chassis and a pair of eyewear was theirs. Needless to say, there was no winner…

Traveling southward, this year marked the 100th Anniversary of Penticton, BC, and with that the Ironman title was that much more coveted.
As the labs tunes pumped all day, athletes, spectators, and retail shops all stopped by to see what the noise was all about. The day ended with a great VIP BBQ, and of course a few beverages.

3 hours north marked our next on final stop on the tour, at Silverstar ski/mtb resort located in Vernon, BC. Mother nature was again not on our side, but that didn’t stop a little round robin ATV videogame action. Winner was a pumped kid, walking away with a fresh pair of Oakley Twitch sunglasses.

Thanks to everyone involved in making this interior trip possible, and we look forward to the next one.
