  Last year, Oakley’s Shaun White was the only athlete to win X Games gold in snowboard and skate in the same year. Can he repeat in both disciplines?

  X Games 14 kicks off July 31st in Los Angeles. Watch Shaun, along with Oakley’s Bob Burnquist, Rune Glifberg, Sandro Diaz, Josh Harrington, Ryan Sheckler and Greg Lutzka in the skate Big Air, Superpark, Street and Vert disciplines.

  Oakley’s Josh Harrington and Allstair Whitton will be vying for gold in the all new BMX SuperPark and BMX street competitions. SuperPark will be a 100 percent transition-focused design- blending a variety of terrain and obstacles into one seamless course. This will mark the first time ever that X Games will not have a stand-alone vert ramp. In addition to Skateboard and BMX SuperPark, BMX Street will be added to X Games where it will follow the same template as X Games mainstay Skateboard Street. The concept is simple, raw street features such as stairs, rails and ledges replicated in an arena setting.

  On the girl’s side, women’s motocross will be added to the sports line up for X Games 14, joining the other sports of BMX Freestyle, Moto X, Skateboard, Rally Car Racing and Surfing. World-renowned competitors, such as Oakley’s 17-year-old WMA Pro National phenomenon Ashley Fiolek, will be racing a 125cc 2-stroke or 250 4-stroke motorcycle.

  Fiolek, who recently turned pro last year, said, “This is a huge step forward in women’s professional motocross. I feel honored to be asked to participate in the X Games and I am looking forward to a great race.”

  Fourteen hours of live X Games programming on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC- all showcased in high definition- will be aired July 31- August 3, as well as on ESPN International, EXPN.com, ESPN Classic, ESPN360.com, SportsCenter and ESPN2’s X Center.
