Last Wednesday, June 25th, Oakley and Suzuki invited some of Hollywood’s adrenaline junkies to Starwest MX Park in Perris, CA for an action-packed day of motocross riding and education.
Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden was the on-site DJ, while stars like Brothers and Sisters costars David Annable and Mathew Rhys, Lolita lead Dominique Swain, actress Jeannine Kaspar (Iron Man), Will Estes of American Dreams and Chris McDonald (a.k.a. Shooter McGaven) learned the ins and outs of MX. Oakley’s own star, MX rider Ashley Fiolek, came out for the event as well.
“MX was on my wish list for ’08,” said actor Jacob Vargas." I am so stoked Oakley put this on. It was a great way to get into the sport."
The celebs received protection against the glaring desert sun with the latest Oakley MX goggles, Square O eyewear and women’s shades.
Under the lounge tent, Joel Madden spun records, celebs picked up swag from Oakley, Fox and Muscle Milk and enjoyed post-ride massages.
“The vibe was really laid back and fun,” said Oakley’s Jeremy McCassy. “But organization was key in getting everyone out on the dirt. Some of the celebs were timid at first, but by the end all the participants were claiming they were addicted to MX.”
Joel Madden was quoted discussing his opinions on marriage, which has spread like wildfire through the gossip magazines.
