Sunshine & Surf
The Oakley Rolling O Lab made its first appearance in the sunshine state and left a huge impression during its promos at Aqua East, Quiet Flight and Ron Jon Surf Shop.
Our first stop was Aqua East Surf Shop in Jacksonville Florida. Aqua East is a mainstay surf shop in north Florida and the turn out was great. All afternoon we had the employees and customers hanging out in the Rolling O Lab and seeing for themselves what sets Oakley sunglasses apart from the all the other sunglass brand.
Big thanks go out to Susan Wallace and all people at Aqua East for being the first surf shop in FL to host the rolling O Lab!
Stop number two on the Rolling O Lab surf tour brought us to Quiet Flight in Universal Studios. This event took place inside the park at Universal Studios Orlando, and the turnout needless to say was HUGE. Approximately 20,000 people attended the park this day and everyone single one of them had to either walk through the lab or around the lab to get through the park. All day long there was clinic after clinic going on and the Rolling O Lab crew was working overtime. With the De La Hoya-Mayweather fight playing on the flat screen, a crowd of over 500 people crowded around the Lab and stayed until the wee hours of the night.
Oakley would also like to thank everyone that made this special event possible in Orlando – Cary, Ed, Travis and Tom.
The Final stop on the Rolling O Lab brought us further south to Cocoa Beach Fl. Cocoa Beach is headquarters to Ron Jon Surf Shop, the largest surf shop on the east coast. We had the Rolling O Lab set up all day and since we were right on A1A, tens of thousands of people were able to catch a look at the Lab.
With Oakley’s latest skate video “Our Life” playing on the flat screen, the kids were able to hang all afternoon and a ton of people went through the Oakley clinic. Everyone had a good time!
Thanks go out to Keith, Mike, Nancy, Debbie and Emma.
