Rolling O Supporting the Fight Against Cancer at the Half Full Triathlon

IMG_1979

The Half Full Triathlon is an annual event held this year on October 2 in Ellicot City, MD at the beautiful Centennial Park. The event raises awareness about cancer in young adults and donates funds for the fight against cancer. Two of the beneficiaries of this race were the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and Livestrong. Oakley and the Rolling O Lab were present and happy to be a part of the fantastic and electric environment. Oakley Rep Jay Dempsey showed his passion for the cause by raffling off a custom pair of Half Jackets which were personalized for the Half Full Triathlon itself.

After an incredibly sung National Anthem, which is traditionally performed by a cancer survivor, the emotions ran high and adrenaline started pumping for the start of the race. As the racers entered into the 64 degree water which held a temperature warmer than the air, the crowd made sure their support did not go unheard. Not even the overcast weather and light rain could dampen the spirits of the competitors and spectators.
