Party Rockin’: Oakley Lights Up SXSW Austin With LMFAO, Shwayze, Kelley James, B.o.B and More
If you think it was a coincidence that Sky Blu from LMFAO set off the Oakley show at the SXSW Festival…think again. ‘Party rockin’ might as well be our middle name.
Exhibit A: Moodswing360 + Oakley’s killer event at The Phoenix in Austin during the festival. It was the show’s second year, and it absolutely went off. Again.
With LMFAO (star Electro artists) and Dev and the Cataracs – along with Oakley’s own Shwayze/Cisco Adler and Kelley James in the house and busting out some major tunes (and more artists), the party raged into the morning hours the only way we know: Big time.
But all the O action during the week didn’t just go down in one place at one time.
Oakley teamed up with Spin Magazine to partner in bringing some major energy to the famous Stubb’s venue, with one of the best lineups at SXSW that included TV on the Radio, The Vaccines, The Kills and The Smith Westerns.
The Big O also took over some ground at the Spin Loft on 6th with some of the sickest new eyewear as artists performing and chillin’ throughout the week came by to get styled.
Andrew WK, Dom, Gold Motel and Mona were just a few names that stepped into Oakley land to get sized up for a style refresh. And to cap it all off, new vocal sensation, Skyler Gray, who wrote Rhianna’s “Love the Way You Lie” single and sung the hook on Dr. Dre’s new single “I need a Doctor,” dropped in on the festivities to join the family – while Oakley’s longtime friend B.o.B (pop/hip hop star) was also there to represent for the for the O.
It’s safe to say that South By Southwest got O-wned for the second year straight. Just the way we like it.
Now peep these ‘Young Hollwood’ interviews with Oakley’s own Cisco Adler and Kelley James!
