Fall 2011 Technical Outerwear is Fine Tuned in Whistler

Whistler Storm

With the year end around the corner and the designers and developers in China perfecting our product, Oakley Field testing put the Fall 2011 Tech outerwear to one last test sesh before production begins. With the help of our Oakley Field Testing product feedback and database site we were able to provide instantaneous feedback reports to the designers and developers located within factories in China.

The team assembled were from a carefully selected experienced group of pro athletes and key Oakley personnel dedicated to product performance, fit and function.  The intent was on final sign off on the Fall 2011 technical outerwear line and discussion’s on future concepts.

Whistler-Blackcomb Canada provides some of the best testing conditions because of the harsh weather conditions.  Upon arrival it had snowed 12 inches, or should we say 30.5 centimeters and in the same day rained to the peak.  This made for an interesting and challenging first day.

On Day 2 we were lucky that the 7in/17.8 cm’s of overnight snow bonded well.  The Fall 2011 technical outwear was tested in some of the most adverse conditions to determine how products preform in all types of weather.

The Pro Athlete attendees were Kye Peterson, Sean Pettit, Alex Prochazka, Suzanne Graham, and Marie-France Roy. Thanks for all your input and support!
