Loretta Lynn’s MX Amateur National Championships
Just seventy miles south of Nashville in the beautiful Tennessee countryside is the home of famed country music legend Loretta Lynn. Thousands of motocross racers and fans from all over the world converged on the expansive grounds of her ranch for the 29th installment of this iconic AMA Amateur Motocross Championship. Loretta Lynn’s has been a breeding for champions the likes of Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart, Ryan Dungy and Ryan Villapoto all Oakley athletes and arguably the greatest in motocross!
This year the Rolling O Lab National truck teamed up with the Rolling O Store and created an Oakley Island of sorts. The tunes were bumping in surround sound all day long as racers and fans alike eagerly toured the lab and shopped the O store. The new Oakley Mayhem MX goggle was a hot commodity as were the Dispatch, Holbrook and Discrete sunglasses. Countless campers left their tour of the Lab in awe, amazed by the technology and science behind Oakley’s optics! On Wednesday motocross superstars Ricky Carmichael and Ryan Villopoto graced the Lab with their presence for an autograph signing. The line stretched all the way down the road and may have never ended, but Ricky needed to rest his throttle hand before taking laps around the track the following day.
We all had such a fun week and truly and enjoyed the southern hospitality and down home cooking found in scenic Tennessee! We would like to thank Chris and Eric of the Rolling O store for all of their hard work and Field Marketing Rep, Dan Martin for his charisma and dedication.
Keep an eye on the road as we roll on down to Orlando, Florida for the Mastercraft World Wakeboarding Championships held August 20-22.
