Bloody Brilliant: HBO’s ‘True Blood’ Star Ryan Kwanten Lands at Oakley’s Interplanetary Headquarters
Ryan Kwanten is just a killer guy.
The Australian star of the hit HBO series, True Blood, recently took a trip to Oakley’s Interplanetary Headquarters to scope out the mad scientist looking facilities…and to show love for a brand that he’s admired for its deep roots in Aussie-loved sports.
Turns out that Kwanten, who was recently honored as an ‘emerging artist’ by Australians in Film, is an avid surfer and triathlete. He spent an afternoon touring the behind-the-scenes landscape at Oakley with his visiting family from Australia – and taking in the sights of some of his favorite surfers pictured on the walls within the building.
A big fan of both surf and triathlon due to his father’s participation in those sports, Kwanten idolized famous Aussie Triathlon star Greg Welch. And he even dreamed of following in his footsteps. Now that’s an ambitious dude.
Ryan is looking forward to surfing with Oakley Global Team manager Ronny Nelson and our team of in-house surfers between the two upcoming films he is beginning production on – after he wraps up the third season of True Blood in the next few weeks.
Keep an eye out for Ryan as he continues to kick arse onscreen (and as he rocks his Oakleys wherever he goes).
