Oakley Gets a Leg Up on The Tour Down Under
The Tour Down Under is the largest sporting event in Australia, attracting over a million fans and features riders from all over the world. Oakley got things started early by parking the now World Famous Rolling O Lab smack dab in the middle of Rundle Mall, the main shopping center in Adelaide.
Hundreds of people made their way through the lab that day. Many of whom were already Oakley enthusiasts, but also a large number of people learning about Oakley HDO for the first time. Word quickly spread that some of cycling’s biggest names, such as Robbie McEwen, as well as riders from Team RadioShack, Team Garmin, Team Sky, Columbia, Rabo Bank, and Saxo Bank would be stopping by the Lab later in the day.
The fans that lined up and patiently waited were not disappointed as some of their favorite riders signed autographs and posed for pictures after coming out of the Rolling O Lab. Special thanks to OSP for the representation through the entire event; Phil Ward, Sheridan Jones, Jimmy Hendriks, Tim Persse, and Robby Williams, it wouldn’t have been as successful without your guys’ help. Also, special thanks to the Rundle Mall, specifically Jade Ward, Chantelle Leaney, and the mall security staff for all of their help.
