Moto GP Valencia

Tickets were sold out weeks before the final of the 2009 MotoGP series! From 6th – 8th November 2009, the Rolling O-Lab stopped at the famous “Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo” in Spain, together with thousands of fans.

The Rolling O Lab was exclusively parked between the paddock entrance and the VIP village, just 50 meters away from the race track. The roof of the lab became our personal grand stand with a perfect view on the long straight. The weather was extremely mild if you consider that it was already November, just the strong winds made O Lab driver Jan nervous, fearing that the O Lab’s awning might get damaged. As usual, Spanish HDO training machine Victor “Spike” Garcia, who has a definite faible for the High Mass Impact test, educated hundreds of people non-stop on HDO.

The drama started on Sunday 2 pm, when polesitter Casey Stoner crashed in the warm-up lap, so he could not take his place on the grid again. Jorge Lorenzo did well after a tricky moment in the opening lap that nearly threw him off his bike, and secured the second place in the championship. Stoner ended up being 4th in the overall 2009 standings, closely followed by Andrea Dovizioso on the 6th.

A huge thank you goes to Oakley sports marketing manager Giovanni Balestra who arranged all our 2009 MotoGP deals for the Rolling-O Lab; Jan, our driver, for his dedication to protect our awning against mother nature, Victor for his wonderfully calm manner to educate people on HDO eyewear technology and the entire crew on the Rolling-O Lab. Thank you to Robert Berenguer, Marc Verdaguer and the entire Dorna team for always being there whenever questions occurred. It was a great first year for the O Lab at the European MotoGP scene! Looking forward to 2010.
