Oakley is back in the “Dirty South”

The Oakley Rolling O Lab has once again rolled through Chattanooga, Tennessee for Jason Aaronson’s annual Dirty South golf tournament. Each year Jason and his wife Tracey put together this tournament for local accounts, friends and Oakley golf enthusiasts.

For all you golf pros, the course is located right in Jason’s neighborhood with the 17th in his back yard. It is the private Black Creek Course and Country Club with 18 holes and over 7,000 yards of golf from the longest tees for a course par of 72. The course rating 74.3 and it has a slope rating of 134 on Bermuda grass. So, all in all, Black Creek is an amazing course tucked in the mountains of Tennessee.

Each year, Jason and Tracey open up their home the night before the tournament for a meet and greet party for everyone to acquainted with the players and anyone else involved in the event. With a live musical act, plenty of food and drinks it was another successful pre-tournament get together.

With a not too early tee time to make sure the players had enough time to sleep in, the tournament got started right on schedule. The extra time gave everyone the chance to get a tour through the O Lab and get schooled on what’s new with Oakley’s High Definition Optics and how it can help their game.

It was a beautiful day to be on the course and everything went off with out a hitch. There were the sponsored “hole in one” holes where a player might win a car or a Polaris RZR, the longest put for $250.00 and the shot hole…no explanation needed. Jason also had many other prizes to win as well as for the raffle. He had everything – Cleveland drivers, power tools, wine, liquor, new lock sets and even an outdoor heater. Oakley also threw in some shades and a couple of watches, so no matter where you placed, everyone left a winner.

For the dirty south….I’d say this tournament cleaned up pretty well! I would like to give a BIG THANKS to Jason and his family for having us all out; Jason did an amazing job yet again. And we all would also like to say thanks to Louis Wellen for coming out and keeping it exciting.

Until next year.….FORE!
