Oakley Models, Photo Booth & HDPolarized
To mix things up this year Oakley took a new approach to our Rolling O Lab presence at the Red Bull US Grand Prix Laguna Seca. Wanting to bring a more compelling and fun atmosphere for Oakley race fans, two Oakley models were added to the crew and a custom photo booth with a HDPolarized eyewear focus.
The photo booth was wrapped in Oakley’s HDPolarized campaign graphics with two display cases next to it. Each fan would select their favorite Oakley HDPolarized sunglass from eight new men’s and women’s styles. Once they selected their sunglasses they would jump into the photo booth to take photos of themselves in the glasses.
Moments later a 4×6 postcard prints out would display four photos, plus the sunglass they selected with matching URL on Oakley.com. Top photos from the booth are posted on <a href= “http://www.facebook.com/pages/Oakley/69999732748#/pages/Oakley/69999732748?v=photos&viewas=0” target="_blank">Oakley’s Facebook page. Additionally, the O Lab Crew and models selected one winner each day for taking the best photo.
The Oakley models worked outside the Rolling O Lab on Saturday and Sunday attracting fans into the lab for VIP Tours and to take photos in the booth. Both Keltie and Alison were wearing a combination of Oakley eyewear and apparel from our spring and fall 2009 women’s lines.
By Sunday late afternoon the Red Bull US Grand Prix 2009 at Laguna Seca had come to close and a stamp of approval for another successful Rolling O Lab presence and fan interaction. Look for this new approach on-site at Laguna Seca to be revamped and showcased at upcoming summer events.
