    For months, a steadfast crew of Oakley employees, known as the Pink Pedal Pushers, trained, raised money and committed to jump in their Lycra for the West Coast Tour de Pink, a 220-mile bike ride on Southern California’s coast to raise awareness and funds for Young Survival Coalition (YSC), a foundation that ensures no woman diagnosed under the age of 40 faces breast cancer alone.

    Chrissie Wellington is more than used to the extreme pain associated with the infamous Ironman race in Kona. In other words, she makes pretty much everyone else look like a whimp. Taking Miami by storm, O’s Spring 2013 Swimwear Runway Show, hosted by Trimera Group, delivered sizzling hot Oakley flare to Hyde Beach in the SLS Hotel in late July. Showcasing one of the most stylin’ swim collections around – along with pieces from UNO de 50 jewelry on the catwalk – the stunning exhibition displayed the brand’s ultra unique combination of world class style and athletic performance design that characterizes its coming swimsuit line. Lead by Oakley pro surfer Erica Hosseini and O pro beach volleyball player (and model) Jess Gysin, an amazing collection of models made it clear to guests on hand the immense evolution of Oakley’s apparel line – especially in regards to women’s design.

    Some North Americans will never truly understand the devastation and hardships that take place in African nations such as Rwanda. Hollywood tries to depict the sad reality of the issues sweeping the African continent, but rarely is the full effect of troubling problems ever shown. Canadian Clara Hughes has taken notice and pledged to do something about it. The Oakley Olympic cyclist, speed skater and now humanitarian has teamed up with Oakley Canada in pledging to donate the entirety of her retainer payment as well as any Olympic victory bonuses received in 2012 to the Right To Play charity, aimed at aiding the Rwandan people.
