    You know him best as that sexually charged heartthrob in HBO’s True Blood. Yes, Ryan Kwanten – armed with his physique, sun-kissed hair, Aussie charm and Oakley sunglasses – is almost always cast in films, TV shows and other projects as that prototypical ladies man. A bad boy, if you will. Well he’s at it again. Taking the starring role in romantic comedy, The Right Kind of Wrong, Oakley’s star actor graced the grand premiere of the film at the prestigious Toronto Film Festival in September. Going down at the spectacular stadium-style venue, Roy Thomson Hall in Downtown Toronto, the premiere was a super packed affair, with film aficionados, the cast, crew and associated companies in attendance to make for a truly world-class event. And, as expected, Ryan shone.

With famously gruesome action, unforgettable characters and legions of die-hard fans across the Globe, there’s simply nothing like it. Flash forward to the present and the video game series has finally come to life in a manner fitting of its legend. Enter Warner Bros.’s “Mortal Kombat: Legacy,” the online TV series. With a widely-followed mythology as its backbone, MK finally got its chance to shine in ways that previous cinematic attempts at telling its stories, simply could not do. In conjunction with the grand release of the latest MK Game for diehard fans, the first season of Legacy dropped in on fire, with massive YouTube hits and stellar game sales. In the middle of it all was, you guessed it…Oakley.
