Royden Bryson (East London, ZAF)(pictured) won his round of 12 heat and advanced into the quarter finals at the Nike US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, California, USA today. Bryson’s top two wave scores were a 6.83 and a 6.07 totaling a heat score of 12.90. Bryson defeated John John Florence (HAW) and Tiago Camarao (BRA).
