With every sale of this special edition HIJINX® sunglass, Oakley is honored to support a crucially important cause, MDA’s Augie’s Quest ALS Research Initiative.
Many heroes have fallen to ALS, including baseball legend Lou Gehrig. The affliction causes critical nerve cells to die, leading to widespread and devastating loss of vital muscle tissue. ALS leaves the mind generally unaffected but inexorably takes away the ability to speak, walk and do everything we take for granted. Paralysis and death may come just a few years after diagnosis.

Augie and his wife, Lynne
Oakley is honored to support this effort. With every sale of this special edition HIJINX® sunglass, we are contributing $20 to MDA’s Augie’s Quest, creating a vision of hope in the fight against ALS.
Each frame is highlighted with a custom rendition of the MDA’s Augie’s Quest logo, and a matching MICROCLEAR™ bag is included for lens cleaning and eyewear storage. We took all the music, art and life that inspires Oakley athletes, distilled it into clean and uncomplicated style, and crystallized the attitude into HIJINX®. A comfortably lightweight O MATTER® frame, it gives you the clarity of HIGH DEFINITION OPTICS® (HDO®) with patented innovations like XYZ OPTICS® for razor sharp vision at every angle of view.
This special edition is enhanced with Black IRIDIUM® lens coating for balanced light transmission in bright sun. Glare reduction is 99.9%, thanks to Oakley polarization that optimizes vision by eliminating the haze and distortion common to ordinary polarized lenses.

It’s a hard disease to live with, as it becomes harder to do simple things and friends drift off.

Best friend was diagnosed with ALS 2 years ago at 33. He was a great athlete. This disease has destroyed his physical being. He is on a mission to find a cure and we are all with him to join the fight.

It’s hard to believe ALS took my mom from me 7 years ago. She was a fighter every day but it won. I hope some day there is a cure so nobody has to endure such an aweful disease. I miss my mom everyday. She is our Angel watching over us.
